DnD: King Foril by AnthonyFoti DnD: King Foril by AnthonyFoti
New Tony Foti Illustration Facebook page! : [link]

King Foril, from Brian Cortijo's fantastic article on the history of Cormyrean Royalty, aptly titled "Cormyr Royale." Featured in Dungeon Magazine issue 198. [link]

The actual painting of the image took place during finals at school, and many many grateful thanks go out to Skydancer Stock :iconskydancer-stock: for his gigantic page of stock images. Every once in a while I'll be faced with some sort of scheduling rigmarole where I need to start a painting at 11pm and calling models (or my wife, of course) isn't going to fly. He himself was the model for King Foril, and I can't imagine finding someone better.

Very nice piece. I like your soft style, nothing really has any hard edges and everything is in harmony.

Thanks, that harmony is always a primary goal while working. I'm not a very aggressive guy in general, and as such I tend to be really careful about where I put hard edges
